Gastein Classics: A highlight in the winter sports calendar

From 13 to 15 December, Sportgastein will once again be the venue for the Raiffeisen Gastein Classics, which are taking place for the third time this year. This event has become a popular prologue to the Ski Classics Challengers race series and attracts international teams from all over Europe. The start is in 30km classic style.

The breathtaking scenery of Sportgastein, at an altitude of 1600 metres, provides the participants with perfect conditions for the cross-country skiing competitions. Preparations are already in full swing, and the teams are training hard for the start of the winter season. The Gastein Valley is also preparing to offer the athletes an unforgettable cross-country skiing experience.

Long-distance skiers and fans of classic cross-country skiing can enjoy a network of perfectly groomed trails – for both classic and skating styles – and savour the winter landscape in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
